The Flower Press Series is back!

It all began with a room full of conversations, chats between our founder, Courtney, and inspiring individuals from across different industries. Long after the conversations ended, the ideas and stories lingered. And it sparked a simple question: what if we shared these moments with our community?

That question gave life to The Flower Press. From the beginning, it was never about producing a show, it was about capturing a feeling. What started as an experiment quickly blossomed into something more. The love and heartfelt feedback we received showed us just how powerful it can be to pause, listen, and dive into the stories of leaders, creators, and visionaries who are shaping industries and redefining success.

Now, as we welcome back Season 2 of The Flower Press, we invite you once again into these moments of connection, creativity, and wisdom, in full bloom.

From physiotherapist to founder of both GoChlo Pilates and Nala, Chloe de Winter’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. During the pandemic, she went searching for underwear that was both comfortable and sustainable, only to realise how limited the options were. So, in true entrepreneurial spirit, Chloe set out to create her own.

The road wasn’t easy. Entering the bra and underwear industry meant confronting societal norms head on. Nala’s designs were created for real bodies, no airbrushing, no censoring, paired with raw, honest marketing that showcased authenticity over perfection. It was bold, it was different, and it resonated.

Today, thanks to Chloe’s vision and fearless approach, Nala has grown into a brand that empowers women to feel comfortable, confident, and seen.

After years of working in retail and later in buying and merchandising for a major big box retailer, Julia McCarthy knew her way around the process of sourcing and production. She found a manufacturer willing to produce in small quantities, which gave her the chance to create the elevated basics she couldn’t find for herself in the market.

It wasn’t long before people started asking where her clothes were from. What began as a side hustle, designing and selling jackets and coats to friends, then friends of friends, quickly gathered momentum. Soon after, Julia launched a simple Facebook page, and from there, Friends with Frank started to take shape, evolving into the thriving business it is today.

With a focus on elevated essentials and a strong sense of brand identity, Friends with Frank has since become a much loved label, known for its refined aesthetic and considered approach to fashion.

The Memo was founded five years ago by Kate Casey and Phoebe Simmonds with a clear mission: to simplify and elevate the baby shopping experience. This idea was born out of Kate’s own pregnancy journey. Excited to step into motherhood, she walked into a big box baby retailer, only to walk straight back out again, overwhelmed by the clutter and the chaos. Around the same time, a simple list was being shared between friends: “everything you need for a baby.” When that list landed in Kate’s hands, it sparked a bigger idea: what if all those essentials could be found in one place, presented in a way that felt calm, supportive, and modern?

Having previously worked with Phoebe, a former luxury beauty marketing executive and founder of The Blow, Kate knew she was the perfect person to bring the vision to life. With her deep expertise in retail and brand-building, Phoebe instantly recognised the gap in the market. At the time, Phoebe didn’t have kids herself, but she quickly saw how overwhelming the parenting space could be. The language in these baby stores was very unsophisticated and juvenile. So, she set out to build a brand with real meaning: one that was thoughtful, sustainable, and designed to make parents feel heard, supported, and understood. Their fresh, considered approach has since made The Memo a trusted destination for modern parents.

As we continue this series, we hope these conversations leave you with something that lingers long after the episode ends: a spark of inspiration, a fresh perspective, or simply the feeling of being part of a community that values honesty, curiosity, and growth.

This series has been a huge source of inspiration for Courtney and the team at DB, but it’s your feedback that really shapes what comes next. So tell us, what did you love, what would you like more of, and who’s on your dream guest list? We’re all ears. 🥰💝
