With the brand new, shiny year ahead of us, we felt the world needed some sugar.
We pulled together the A team to shoot a campaign whose aim was to bring the garden to life. We kept these beautiful images under wraps until we felt the time was right to release them into the wild... that time is now!
BUT, instead of just giving you the sugary, final edits, we wanted to take you through the process of how we plan and execute these ideas from bud to bloom, so here it is...
First Things First... Vibes!
We hop on over to our trusty friend Pinterest and start madly pinning inspiration for everything from location and model poses to fashion and flower trends. This helps bring what is in our heads into a more visual format so we can share concepts and ideas.
The colour palette for the shoot is often first inspired by the season, for example, if we are shooting for Winter we will often start with a more bold and rich colours and in Summer we will lean towards more bright and fresh colours.
Once we have the overall mood for the shoot we can start to choose colours that tie it all together and create a cohesive story. We look back on choosing flower types, outfits, make-up and more.
Then we can start to reduce down the images to a specific aesthetic creating a clear vision for the overall aesthetic. For each element we choose a key images to refer to, this helps us ensure, on shoot day that we are sticking to the brief. We only ever have a short amount of time with the team on shoot day, so we need to stay on course.
Location, location, location.
Location is key! BUT it can be so hard to find a space that ticks all of the boxes. We were lucky enough to find this beautiful house surrounded by the most stunning veggie garden and flower beds, located in Chewton only 1.5 hours from Melbourne CBD.
This space was so appealing due to it's adorable greenhouse and the variation in scenery.
The Final Edits!
After some final touches to lighting in Lightroom by our in-house photographer, these stunning photos from our Summer in Full Bloom Campaign Photoshoot are ready for you to take a peek. We are so excited to let them out into the world, spreading a little lightness and brightness into the new year.
Thank you to the most incredible team...
