To our wonderful DAILY Blooms Customers,
When I dreamt up DAILY Blooms in 2014, all I wanted to do was spread delight by creating beautiful bespoke bouquets. It was a simple mission, born out of my passion for flowers and the rush you get when you’re handed a surprise bunch of blooms from someone you love.
I started out with a few buckets of blooms, a workbench and a laptop - in a teeny, tiny storage shed. Our operating costs were minimal; there was one florist - me! I taught myself how to build a website, I hand wrote every gift card and our product range consisted of just one petite, colourful bouquet.
As the business has evolved (and dare I say improved!) - we have invested in a brilliant team, an inspiring range of products and rebuilt our website from the ground up. Your experience as the customer and bouquet recipients is at the forefront of every business decision we make. We aim to spark joy and spread delight by delivering the very best seasonal blooms, seamlessly, day in and day out. We do this by hiring and training the very best florists and sourcing the most premium blooms from trusted, ethical and sustainable farms.
The reason for this note, is that as we continue to strive to be the very best online destination for bespoke, carefully curated blooms and gifts, in a time when things like flowers, packaging and delivery costs have skyrocketed, we have had to make some changes to our product offering and pricing effective 1st June, 2022.
As you may have seen in the media, the wholesale price of flowers has been increasing steadily. We experienced a big price increase at the beginning of lockdown in 2021 due to disruptions in supply chains and severe labour shortages. However, since that time, prices have continued to increase steadily culminating in another big spike in February 2022. Until now, we have done our best to absorb these costs, but in order to continue employing fantastic people, creating unique and inspiring products and offering the very best customer experience something has had to give.
With these economic factors in mind and considering all the customer feedback we have received over the past year, we have decided to simplify our core range. We will continue to offer 3 different sized bouquets in both a colourful and white palette suitable for a wide range of occasions and budgets. These will now simply be referred to as Small, Medium and Large - as sometimes simple really is best.
Some price points have increased, some have reduced, and some have remained the same. Our aim is to provide value where we can, because we know we wouldn’t be here without the support of you, our customer. Our new Small, Medium & Large bouquets which will be priced at $69, $89 and $109 respectively.
We will have some more exciting new product announcements to make in the near future, but for now we are putting our energy and effort into launching and delivering delight with this new core range.
