August Wrap-up

August might not be known as a standout month in the floral calendar, but for us at DB, it became one to remember. Instead of being defined by a particular season of blooms, the month unfolded as a season of its own, one with learning, connection, and community.

đŸšœđŸŒ·Flower Farm Tour
One of the month's highlights was a day trip some of our team members took to the beautiful Santospirito Flower Farm in Torquay. A third-generation, family run farm with over 70 years of flower-growing expertise. For Courtney, this visit held a special kind of nostalgia. Growing up on a farm, she would pass by the vibrant, colourful fields of Santospirito on her way to school, never imagining she’d one day walk among them. Fast forward to today, and the flower field that once captured her gaze has become a place of inspiration and connection for all of us.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Charlie and Anthony, the father and son duo behind the farm, for welcoming us with such warmth and generosity. They graciously opened up about their craft, answering our endless questions about everything from planting techniques to harvesting methods. Their passion for flowers and their willingness to share decades of knowledge left us both humbled and inspired.

🌾🎬 Flower Press 2.0
This month, we also brought back our much loved Flower Press series. Season 2 is here!
To kick things off, Courtney, founder of Daily Blooms, had the pleasure of sitting down with Chloe De Winter, the inspiring entrepreneur behind Nala and GoChlo Pilates. Together, they explored Chloe’s journey as a founder, diving into the challenges, lessons, and triumphs along the way. (Watch the episode here!)

It’s always such an honour to share space with remarkable women who are carving their own paths. Their stories continue to inspire us, and we can’t wait to bring you more conversations in the episodes to come.

🍑đŸ”č New goddesses in Peach & Blue

There’s nothing we love more than refreshing our collections with new colours and textures, and this month was no exception. We were so excited to launch two new colourways in our Goddess Vase collection.

Our peach striped vase (Venus) is overflowing with blooms in warm, sunset tones, and our blue striped vase (Luna) is brimming with creamy whites, fresh greens, and golden highlights, anchored by a radiant sunflower.

đŸŽ¶đŸŽ» Symphony & Blooms

We also had one of our most exciting collaborations yet. We officially became the flower sponsor for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra! To celebrate, we hosted a little giveaway, offering double passes to catch Lime Cordiale performing with the MSO at Hamer Hall. It was such a fun way to combine two things we love, music and flowers, and share the joy with our community.

đŸȘŽđŸŒŒ MIFGS industry engagement session

To round out an already buzzing month, Courtney had the pleasure of attending the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show engagement sessions, looking ahead to the 2026 show. She felt incredibly honoured to be in a room full of like-minded people who share the same deep passion for flowers and gardens; it’s not every day you get to be surrounded by those who truly “speak your language.”

The day was made even more special by reconnecting with the wonderful teams from Melbourne Polytechnic, Holmesglen, and Marjorie Milner College, the very place where Courtney did some of her training before founding Daily Blooms. It was a full-circle moment that reminded her just how far the journey has come.

Looking back, August was a month that reminded us why we do what we do. Each moment, whether big or small, reinforced the beauty of connection through flowers, people and shared passions. We can’t wait to carry this energy into the months ahead and see what new stories bloom next.
